Traditional with a twist of modern styling

From the outside to the inside you will see that we have put a huge amount of thought and effort into how our store looks and the atmosphere we are looking to create.

Being north facing it has always been a challenge to create light, a feeling that the shop is open, along with a building that could be seen as quite plain and functional in its design in comparison to the flare and colourful styling of the inside of the store. So we added wood paneling and leafy decoration to soften the corners and window displays that compliment the highland scenery feel filled with greenery.

IStepping from the outside world inside, after passing through the tree, ivy and light covered entrance filled with tweed roses, you will be welcomed by the original haberdashery desk with its brass metre and yard stciks still present sunk into its dark worn wood. Tartan carpet will take you through the four rooms as the sesnor lights switch on and lighht your way past the original wood paneled walls filled to bursting with all kinds of clothing and gifts for you to delve in to,

Location

Established in 1995 our small family run business is situated in the heart of the Scottish Highlands, in the beautiful crossroads village of Lairg.

Just up from Lairgs stunning loch, we cant be missed half way up Lairg’s main street.

Parking is never an issue as there is plenty of free parking right outside our door.

Staff

As we are and always have been a purely family based business, you will always have a warm welcome.

We have a very small close knit team of husband & wife! and on occasion one of our three sons who come in and help, often seen as our models on Facebook and Instagram.

With the family approach to our business since 1995 and the years of experience we have, we strive to give everyone a knowledgable and personal shopping experience.

Unlike most retailers that have sales at specific points during the year, we have decided to have a room deticated to sale items all year round.

Our dedicated sale room is always well stocked with bargains to be had 365 days a year.

The prices are assessed on a regular basis to ensure every item is hard to say no to!

Please be advised, all retail areas within our high street store are covered by CCTV and record 24 hours a day. Complying with UK law sound is NOT routinely recorded. However, in certain circumstances (permitted by law) to protect staff members in the event there are rude, threatening and/or abusive customers the recording of sound is switched on. Sound is also recorded during tailoring appointments, this is to protect staff as the measuring process requires some physical contact/touch of the customer.
There is no CCTV in any changing areas.
