About us…
Situated in the heart of the Scottish Highlands, in the beautiful village of Lairg, we are a small family run independent business set up in 1995, not a ltd. company or owned by share holders! Just a husband and wife team who love what we do.
Our atmospheric high street store has become very much a destination store, with customers coming from all over the world. We love chatting with all the varied and interesting people that come and visit us.
We specialise in the hand tailoring of garments in Scottish tweeds as well as British tweeds - we offer the highest quality made to measure tailoring service at a very affordable price.
Our stock levels within our high street store are always expanding. Which has resulted in the retail side of the business becoming as strong as our tailoring service. You will find tweed clothing of all kinds, as well as an incredible selection of hats, waterproofs, shirts, capes, bags, gloves, socks, ties, scarves, gifts, the list goes on… we are sure you will find that quality item you are looking for.
Along with our high street store we have been developing our online store. This is constantly being developed as we try to offer a great selection of high quality items that can be posted worldwide.
Our worldwide customer base is something we are very proud of. Over the years we have made a point of letting our customers speak for us. Our name and our shop has been referred to as:

which is lovely, as we have put our hearts and souls into our business.
Important Notice About Our Opening Times
We are a small independent business, run and owned by a husband and wife team, with no other staff, yes it's just the two of us! Which means we cannot always answer the phone when you call if we have customers in store, so please just leave a message or email us.
We also can't work 7 days a week, 365 days year! So, please be understanding when we have a day off, or aren't open our usual times. We will always put a notice on our website, Facebook and amend our google opening hours to let you know when this happens.

As we can't always provide this service for drop ins when we are busy in store.
We have been so busy in store this year, and with our upgrades, we have to apologise for not keeping up with adding new items to our online store. Don't worry, we are hoping over the winter months to be adding lots more beautiful items for you to look at and purchase.
Thank you for your patience
It has taken a bit of working out, but our online store is now set up to be able to ship VAT FREE to our many customers who purchase from outside the UK. This is due to Brexit and there being no reciprocating tax deals in place.
The good news is it means that you will now only have to pay your own countries taxes making shopping with us as it was prior to Brexit.
Another range of our tailored suits have arrived in our high street store, and are also now available in our online store. We have a nice range of jackets, plus 2's & 4's, waistcoats, Trousers with a classic cut and slim fit as well as a sporting Gilet all in the same fabulous cloth.
