An appointment in the comfort of your own home
We appreciate people's time is more valuable than ever, and not everyone can get to us in Lairg or Inverness, so we have adapted our business to enable us to visit you in the comfort of your own home.
The process starts with us finding out where you are based and what garments you are looking for. We will then go through what is required for us to come to you. This includes getting a size of clothing you usually wear and also letting you know what the mileage charge will be for us to drive to you.
Once this has all been agreed and a deposit is paid, we will fix a date.
On arrival we will set ourselves up, ideally if you have a TV that we can connect an AppleTV unit to (that we will bring along), so we can show you all the options you have that would be good, but don't worry if you don't, we will also bring an iPad and a hard back book showing the options.
We will then go through the fabric samples for you to choose from. Once you have decided on your perfect cloth we will move on to the measuring process, which will involve you trying on our size sets along with taking measurements when required.
Finally, after we have gone through all the options available to you to make your unique garment, we will leave you a sheet with a document detailing what you have ordered and an estimated making time.

We tailor in materials from a good selection of mills around the UK which we can supply. But we also will tailor in any material you own.
NOT JUST TWEED!!! We tailor in all fabrics and styles of fabric -
wool, wool blends, cashmere, tartans and velvets all in plain designs and many patterns from checks, window panes, pinstripes, herringbones etc.

Made to Measure Garments
We have a great selection of pattern choices for our made to measure service that can be tailor made for both ladies & gentlemen. Not only that but you have a huge variety of detail options to choose from to suit both your needs and taste, whether it's a classic look you are going for or a more modern one.
We have specialised in tweed, but have experience and have made many garments for all occasions in other cloths - wool, wool blends, cashmere, tartans and velvets all in plain designs and many patterns from checks, window panes, pinstripes, herringbones etc. We will bring samples along with us for you to choose from.

Our Made To Measure Tailoring Service Explained
People can get confused as to what the made to measure service is.
The way we work is that we have an existing pattern for all the garments we offer. From here we get you to try them on, allowing you to get a feel for the garment itself, while allowing us to have a look and note any alterations in fit to suit your body type that are required. We will give our advice and listen to what you want in order to achieve the best possible result.
We don't just provide the standard made to measure service i.e. a simple length adjustment. These existing patterns we work from can be altered to suit each person, whether it be more or less at the shoulders, chest, waist, thighs… the list goes on. We will simply do whatever is required for the best possible fit.
You will only have one appointment at the beginning. There is no need for a fitting during the making process, therefore the next point of contact is when the garments are ready.
This is how we differ from bespoke tailoring - with bespoke, a pattern has to be made up for you, which then requires you to have fittings during the making process. This in turn takes up more of your time and also means that you end up paying far beyond the cost of our made to measure tailoring service, for essentially a very similar garment.
After 30 years we have perfected the way we operate for the best possible result. We provide more than your standard made to measure service, as we can offer changes in the fitting and details of all garments. This makes us fall somewhere in-between made to measure and bespoke tailoring, while still managing to offer our service at the same price as made to measure.
How far will we travel?
Our Tailoring Service is primarily based in Lairg and Inverness, however we can also visit you anywhere in the UK, from the West to the East coast and a long way south (furthest we have travelled so far has been Norfolk!).
If you are based outside Inverness there will be a mileage/travel charge. We will also factor in the amount of garments to be ordered, to make sure it's cost effective for us to travel a long distance.
